Rumors of a new PlayStation State of Play in February have been circulating for some time, bolstered by further rumors of Gran Turismo 7 and GhostWire: Tokyo having media events this month. A rumored delay for the former created some concern but insider Tom Henderson has reported the media event to now be taking place on February 3rd.
Henderson revealed that the “short-notice delay” was apparently due to producer Kazunori Yamauchi wanting to be at the event for questions but not being able to “for whatever reason.” It’s further noted that the March 4th release date still “seems” to be happening. For what it’s worth, the racing simulation hasn’t gone gold yet.
Regardless, Gran Turismo 7 will be available for PS4 and PS5 at launch. It reportedly features more than 90 tracks (with Daytona International Speedway being showcased in a recent trailer) and over 420 cars. The download size on PS5 is reportedly 89.445 GB, though this could be more if a day one patch is also included.
This event is now taking place on February 3rd.
Apparently, the reason for the short-notice delay was that Yamauchi wanted to be at the event to answer questions, but couldn't be there for whatever reason.
March 4th release seems to be happening! 🙂 https://t.co/To40aFLrd8
