With the influx of Grand Theft Auto 6 news, especially as pre-orders begin to go live around the world, one detail nearly slipped under the radar. It’s always been highly likely, but now the official PlayStation Store listing confirms that the title will be PS5 Pro Enhanced.
Of course, how it will leverage the console’s hardware remains unknown, though you’d have to assume some usage of PSSR to ensure high-quality visuals with fast performance. Sony certainly wouldn’t reveal anything, as it detailed all the ways that the title leverages the DualSense. It also touted “near-instant load times” – undoubtedly a feature on Xbox Series X/S as well, but more a testament to the seamlessness of exploration.
Regardless, there’s plenty of time to learn more, especially the resolution and frame rate on the base PS5 and Xbox. Grand Theft Auto 6 launches on November 19th for consoles and will retail for $80.
The Ultimate Edition costs $100 and includes a bevvy of different bonuses, including access to cars, special missions and whatnot. Perhaps most intriguing is that five stores will be exclusive to this edition, from a shop with over 50 tattoos to not one but two modding shops for customizing vehicles. As always, stay tuned for more details (and that elusive Trailer 3).
