GTA Online to Require More Storage Space from PS3 Owners

PS3 12 GB owners simply won't have enough space for future updates.

Do you own a 12 GB PlayStation 3 model? The one that launched in 2012 to further cater to consumers on a budget? And do you happen to enjoy Grand Theft Auto Online? If so, we’ve got some bad news for you. Rockstar Games has revealed that PS3 12 GB users will need to upgrade their storage soon.

This is because after the Flight School update – which released recently – you won’t have any more space for upcoming content and updates. You’ll still be able to access the single-player mode but further updates will be unavailable to you. Usually, online titles require the latest updates to run so GTA Online is effectively closed off if you don’t have enough storage space.

The PS3 12 GB model has been a solid option for players on (somewhat) of a budget but with upcoming games like Destiny, Dragon Age: Inquisition (which features its own extensive multiplayer with free updates and content for the future), it may be time to finally opt for something with more storage.
