Like many live-service titles, Helldivers 2 has microtransactions, with Super Credits as the premium currency. However, while you can spend real money to purchase them, there are other in-game avenues. Here’s how to go about farming Super Credits at no extra cost.
How to Earn Super Credits
War Bonds
The free War Bond, Helldivers Mobilize, offers several items to unlock, from weapons and armor to Boosters, emotes and helmets. You need War Medals to get them (head here for tips on quickly farming them), and while a certain amount must be spent to access further pages, you can unlock items in any order.
Among the unlocks are Super Credits, with the first five pages offering 100 each while the last five offer 50 apiece. The number of War Medals increases incrementally, but as you take on more challenging missions, it should be easier to unlock them.
The Premium War Bond, Steeled Veterans, also contains 100 Super Credits on each of its three pages. It’s a nice return for those who purchased the War Bond or Super Citizen Edition.
Sealed Doors and Containers
The more common method for earning Super Credits is through in-game missions. As you explore different planets, you’ll find sealed blue doors and cargo containers opened with grenades and other explosives. There’s a chance to discover Super Credits inside, which range from 10 to 40, though other drops like War Medals, Requisition Points, weapons and Samples are also possible.
You can also find doors that require two people to open, so keep that in mind when playing in co-op. Take the time to explore the map (look for the diamond icons) to farm them. Knock down the difficulty if necessary for less stressful exploration.
Caches
If you notice a telltale glow off in the distance, run towards it to find a cache. Your Helldiver will salute and open it, with a chance to earn Super Credits, Medals and Requisition Points. Sometimes, these containers won’t open, so try throwing a grenade to force them.
