Hideo Kojima loves the months-long process of teasing his new games before they’re officially announced. That hype cycle is something he and his team have always reveled in, and we’ve been seeing plenty of that in recent weeks as well. Details on this new mystery project in development at Kojima Productions have been scant, but recent teases by Kojima himself have confirmed that it will star Elle Fanning and Shioli Kutsuna in prominent roles.

Now, Kojima has shared another tease on Twitter- one that seems to hint at some interesting details about the game. “Start a new journey,” Kojima’s tweet reads, and is accompanied by an image showing three logos against a plain black background. Two of these – something that is shaped like a W and something else that looks like a squid-like tentacled creature with spears sticking out of it – have been spotted in the game’s aforementioned teases.

One of the three logos is new though. The leftmost logo shows a compass, and bears the words “Automated Public Assistance Company”. Owing to the presence of the compass and the squid-like creature, speculation has been pointing to a nautical theme for the game.

Interestingly, it also seems like an announcement for this mystery project could be coming soon. Replied to Kojima’s tweet from the official account of The Game Awards and from The Game Awards host and producer Geoff Keighley suggest that a reveal might be in the pipeline for the upcoming event on December 8. Previous leaks have also claimed that the project in question might be a Death Stranding sequel.

Kojima Productions currently also has a second project in the works, a cloud-native game being developed exclusively for Xbox. As per leaks, that game is a horror title starring Margaret Qualley (who also starred in Death Stranding) called Overdose, gameplay footage for it was also recently leaked.
