Update: Those who purchased Hitman (2016) will receive all of its updated missions in Hitman 2 for free. IO Interactive has confirmed this content will be available as part of the Hitman Legacy Pack, which owners of the previous game can download at no additional cost.

Original story:

IO Interactive’s Hitman 2 already has quite a lot to offer for veteran players, from several large new locations to new weapons and ways to perform assassinations. That’s not including the new locations, sniper maps, weapons, missions and so on that will be available in the expansions post-launch. However, the developer is going a step further by announcing that all of Hitman Season 1’s missions will also be playable in Hitman 2.

They just won’t be copy-pasted either – all of Hitman (2016)’s missions will be updated and will take advantage of Hitman 2’s new improvements and features. Though IO Interactive hasn’t shared numerous important details – like whether unlocks from the first game will carry over or if the first season must be purchased separately – this is still a big announcement.

Hitman 2 will be releasing on November 13th for PS4, Xbox One ,and PC. The co-op Sniper Assassin mode (which can also be played solo) is currently available for those who pre-order the game.
