Guerrilla is moving full steam ahead with its plans to expand the Horizon universe, and it seems like it’s got multiple projects in the works as part of those plans. Of course, for that, the studio will be recruiting several other studios to provide assistance- Firesprite, for instance, has led the development on Horizon Call of the Mountain, and now, another studio has joined the Horizon series.

Studio Gobo is a co-development support studio based in Brighton & Hove in the UK, and has had co-development credits on a number of AAA projects over the years, including Redfall, Hogwarts Legacy, For Honor, Hyper Scape, Synced: Off-Planet, and several others. Now, the developer has confirmed via a Twitter post that it is officially a co-development partner for Guerrilla on the Horizon universe.

What exactly is the studio providing assistance with? That is yet to be confirmed, though reportedly, there are a number of Horizon projects currently in the works. Guerrilla recently confirmed that it’s working on a co-op Horizon game, while leaks have claimed that Horizon MMORPG is also in the works at NCSoft. Meanwhile, Horizon Zero Dawn remaster is also allegedly in the works, with the project said to be led by an external development team.

It’s unlikely that we’ll be hearing concrete details on what Studio Gobo is working on in the Horizon universe anytime soon, though the developer is recruiting in a number of positions, so it seems like work is already speeding up behind the scenes.

Meanwhile, Horizon fans have plenty to look forward to in the coming months, with the aforementioned Horizon Call of the Mountain set to launch for PS VR2 on February 22, following by Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores releasing for PS5 in April.
