Kunitsu-Gami Path of the Goddess

Capcom’s has dropped several new details and a release window for Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, an upcoming action strategy title. During Capcom Highlights Day 1, it offered a gameplay deep dive. Check it out below.

The objective is to guide Yoshiro, the Maiden, through different Torii gates to stop The Seethe. You can purge defilement and save villagers, then bestow with masks containing different powers. Woodcutters are for close-quarters combat, Archers at long-range and Ascetics at spell-casting. The setting goes from day to night in real-time, and it’s not long before you take on hordes of Seethe.

You fight off the demonic forces while protecting Yoshiro. Tsuba Guards allow for utilizing powerful attacks, and you can change villager roles and placements at night. Each gate seemingly requires a day to cleanse, and the process begins anew. The Festering Seethe are deadlier versions of The Seethe and are akin to bosses.

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess launches this year for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Xbox One, PS4, and PC, with development in the “final stages.” It’s also coming to Game Pass on day one.
