Ryu ga Gotoku Studio had several announcements at Tokyo Game Show regarding Like a Dragon, from the next mainline game in Like a Dragon 8 to Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name. Like a Dragon: Ishin!, a remake of 2014’s Ryu ga Gotoku Ishin!, is coming sooner, and some US players will get a chance to try it out.

Sega has confirmed that a demo will be playable at TwitchCon San Diego from October 7th to 9th. It’s unknown whether this will eventually be free for all players, but content creators should have new footage from the convention to share.

Like a Dragon: Ishin! is out on February 21st, 2023, for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC. It’s set during the Bakumatsu of the Late Edo Period as Sakamoto Ryoma seeks his mentor’s killer. Along with vastly improved visuals courtesy of Unreal Engine 4, it features the same Combat Styles, and players can use powerful Soldier Skills via Cards for crazy effects.
