Much in line with Square Enix’s other major releases, Marvel’s Avengers will have a collector’s edition. Not only that but it will come with a 12 inch statue of the First Avenger, Captain America. The statue was revealed at San Diego Comic Con as reported Marvel VP and creative executive Ryan Penagos on Twitter.
Created in collaboration with Gentle Giant Studios, the statue has a quote from Steve Rogers stating that, “This nation was founded on one principle above all else: the requirement that we stand up for what we believe, no matter the odds or the consequences.” Suffice it to say that his characterization is pretty much what we’ve expected from Marvel Comics over the years.
The collector’s edition isn’t available to pre-order yet. However, the official Marvel’s Avengers Twitter page has announced that more details will be revealed before the year ends. That includes when fans will be able to pre-order.
It’s still a ways to go before Marvel’s Avengers releases on May 15th, 2020 for Xbox One, PS4, PC, and Google Stadia. Some leaked footage from Comic-Con has showcased some of the alternate costumes for heroes like The Incredible Hulk. Furthermore, it’s been confirmed that Kamala Khan (the new Ms. Marvel) will be in the game, though whether she takes up that mantle remains to be seen.
