Now that the War for Wakanda expansion is out, we don’t really know what lies ahead for Marvel’s Avengers, and how long players are going to have to wait for the next major content drop. It seems, however, that developer Crystal Dynamics will be ready to share that information very soon.

In a recent update on the game’s website, Crystal Dynamics confirmed that on September 8, they will be revealing an updated roadmap for the game that will “look ahead through the rest of 2021.” On the same day, the developer will also publish a new blog “to offer additional insight into what [they] have planned moving forward.”

Recently, Marvel’s Avengers senior game designer Scott Walters confirmed that the PlayStation-exclusive Spider-Man DLC was still targeting a 2021 launch, and if that’s still the case, then it makes sense that that would be announced in the near future. It’s also interesting that Crystal Dynamics is revealing the game’s updated roadmap just a day before the PlayStation Showcase, which would be the perfect place for a gameplay reveal.

Either way, we’ll keep an eye out for whatever it is, so stay tuned.

Marvel’s Avengers is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia.
