Bodies Burnt Alive
Looking around in the open world of The Phantom Pain nets you some very interesting secrets, including a settlement that was burned to the ground. The charred bodies of the villagers can still be seen. What was the context of this scene in the original game? What did Big Boss/Venom Snake have to do with their demise? Was it tied to a mission that was later removed? It’s yet another piece of the big MGS 5 puzzle that none of us have even come to close to explaining. It doesn’t make discovering a whole village of corpses any less unsettling.
