Microsoft’s Mike Ybarra – former corporate VP for Xbox Live, Xbox Game Pass and more – will be joining Blizzard Entertainment. Ybarra announced his departure on Twitter and said he join Blizzard as executive VP and GM on November 4th. This is after spending almost two decades working at Microsoft.

This should be an interesting time for Ybarra, especially since he’ll be joining after BlizzCon 2019 places on November 1st to 3rd. Rumors of Diablo 4, Diablo 2: Remastered and Overwatch 2 being revealed have circulated for a while. Blizzard’s own live schedule for the event has at least six mystery panels with more details to follow.

Whether this year will be a redemption arc for Blizzard, which faced significant backlash last year after Diablo Immortal was revealed, or not remains to be seen. Regardless, stay tuned for more details and reveals. The BlizzCon 2019 Opening Ceremony will kick off on November 1st at 11 AM PT.
