Capcom has provided a sales update on Resident Evil 4 remake, which launched in March 2023. A recent tweet by the development team (dated December 19th, 2024) revealed that it’s sold over nine million units in its lifetime.
The last major sales figure for the title was revealed in October, with over eight million copies sold. The sudden jump could potentially have been from holiday sales throughout last month. Of course, the title’s universal acclaim from critics and fans for the base game and Separate Ways expansion also probably helped.
Resident Evil 4 remake is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC, PlayStation VR2, iOS, iPadOS and macOS. It’s based on the 2005 classic and sees Leon S. Kennedy on a mission to save the US president’s daughter, Ashley Graham, from a mysterious cult. Check out our review for the title (which we gave a ten out of ten) and for Separate Ways, starring Ada Wong.
