Resident Evil Requiem

As reported earlier via a Reddit leak, Capcom’s Resident Evil Requiem will include both first and third-person perspectives. In a new preview based on a 30-minute demo, Xbox Wire reports that you can switch between the two at any time.

However, both perspectives work well with animations seemingly tweaked to “feel natural.” The demo takes place after Grace finds herself strapped to a gurney. Set in the ruins of Raccoon City, where she must investigate an outbreak, she eventually unstraps herself and roams the abandoned ward.

No objective markers will guide players through, and Grace is unarmed, heightening the overall terror. She’ll even gasp out loud if something scares her (and something is roaming the ward’s halls). Of course, this is Resident Evil, which means puzzles, including a box with a broken fuse to replace, unlocking the gate ahead. It’s a harrowing time, but how it connects to the larger experience remains unknown.

Resident Evil Requiem arrives on February 27th, 2026, for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Stay tuned for more details shortly.
