Starfield: Shattered Space is Out Now

The expansion sees the player venturing to the hidden city of House Va'ruun, dealing with a catastrophe and the resulting Void Horrors.

Over a year since Bethesda launched its sci-fi RPG Starfield, its first paid expansion, Shattered Space, is now available for PC and Xbox Series X/S. Retailing for $29.99, the story sees players venturing to Va’ruun’kai after a failed grav drive experiment results in a catastrophe. Check out the launch trailer below.

With the Scaled Citadel surrounded by mysterious energy and Anasko Va’ruun missing, there is much to deal with on the planet. Players have over 50 new locations to explore, whether traversing the planet’s surface, encountering other factions or fighting off Void Horrors. The trailer also teases a higher presence, perhaps somewhere on the other side.

Starfield: Shattered Space introduces new weapons, Gravity Anomalies, armor sets, side quests and much more. It also doesn’t hurt that Va’ruun’kai is hand-crafted location compared to the procedurally generated Settled Systems. Review codes weren’t sent out beforehand, so stay tuned for more details on the expansion in the coming days. In the meantime, check out how to start the new quest here.
