The first new mainline entry in Square Enix's action RPG series will launch for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and PC next year.
Square Enix has unveiled Final Fantasy 16's two DLC episodes, one of which has received a surprise release today.
The latest trailer also showcases new trailers, Synergy abilities, the appearance of Cid, and much more before its launch in February 2024.
Both expansions were announced in September, but there's no word on when either of them will release.
The update will "adjust the method by which battle performance scores are calculated" in the mode, and add a new leaderboard.
Series creator Yasumi Matsuno, in responding to fans on social media, said you'll have to ask Square Enix about the Final Fantasy Tactics remaster.

The third, new difficulty option will see all enemies growing stronger throughout the experience as you grow stronger yourself.
The new Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth video can also be watched through the game's main menu to offer up a quick refresher on the previous game's events.
Game director Naoki Hamaguchi says that the development team's experience with Final Fantasy 15's open world was also helpful.
The free-to-play RPG based on Final Fantasy 7 launched last September for iOS and Android. It's also coming to PC at some point.
"If you like to spend time changing the look of the characters, you're going to have a great time," says Naoki Hamaguchi.
Available on PS4, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch, the remake features gorgeous 2.5D visuals, Japanese and English text and voices, and more.
The remake of Square Enix's classic PS One role-playing game is out on November 2nd for PS5, PS4, PC and Nintendo Switch.
