The private beta for Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 has come to a close, with Ubisoft Massive addressing a fair number of issues that players faced. It’s a given (hopefully, at the very least) that fixes will be readied and deployed for the final game, but it seems an open beta is seemingly coming as well. This was revealed in a recent stream (clip courtesy of Reddit user TiniestBuckle) with Ubisoft Massive and its community team.
At one point, a development team member could be heard saying, “We’re going to fix that for the open beta.” While publisher Ubisoft hasn’t officially dated an open beta, it seems likely that it will happen. The Division also had an open beta before launch, after all, and developers usually deploy them to further stress test their servers.
Will the open beta include more content? We’ll have to wait and see, but it could likely take place in late February or early March. Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 will be out on March 15th for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. The PC version recently made waves for being exclusive to the Epic Games Store (though it’s still obtainable on Uplay).
