the last of us part 2

Sony announced yesterday that they’d be airing another State of Play broadcast next week, and speculation since then (and even before then) had been running that they’d be showing something related to The Last of Us Part 2. Well, it’s not longer just speculation- Naughty Dog has confirmed that its highly anticipated action adventure title is indeed going to be featured in the presentation.

The State of Play presentation in question is scheduled to take place on September 24th, Tuesday, at 1 PM Pacific Time. Now at the very least, we can expect to see a new trailer for the game, but it’s likely that we’ll end up seeing a chunk of gameplay footage as well. On the same day, Naughty Dog are also hosting a media event for the game, where attending media will get to go hands-on with it for roughly three hours, so it makes sense that they’ll also want to show a good it of gameplay to the larger public as well. Maybe even a release date announcement? One can always hope.

Speculation has suggested that The Last of Us Part 2 will be out for the PS4 early next year, so here’s hoping we hear something official on that front as well. We’ll be covering it all as it happens, so stay tuned to GamingBolt.
