The Lords of the Fallen_02

The Lords of the Fallen, Hexworks’ upcoming action RPG and follow-up to CI Games’ 2014 Souls-like, received a new gameplay teaser at The Game Awards 2022. It showcased the world and its various horrors, with the player controlling a Dark Crusader tasked with defeating the Adyr, the soon-to-be resurrected demon god. Along with the world of the living, there’s also the world of the dead that carries its threats.

Thanks to a mysterious lamp, you can cross over to the world of the dead, discover new treasures and even manipulate an enemy’s soul. Be careful, though – upon dying, you must rush through the afterlife as nightmarish creatures pursue you to return to life.

Along with a map five times larger than the original, The Lords of the Fallen features nine character classes – including Knight, Rogue and Fire Apprentice – and hundreds of weapons to discover. Solo play and co-op are available for the campaign, and you’ll encounter various NPCs with agendas.

The Lords of the Fallen is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC in 2023.
