Obsidian Entertainment may have been acquired by Microsoft but it’s still working hard on its other project with Take Two Interactive’s Private Division. At The Game Awards 2018, we got finally found out what that project was – an FPS/RPG called The Outer Worlds. Check out its reveal trailer below, which contains a fair amount of gameplay.

From the original creators of Fallout, and developers who worked on Fallout: New Vegas, The Outer Worlds takes players to a dystopian sci-fi universe. Much like Obsidian’s other titles, players will have a strong amount of choice when it comes to their actions. They can take sides, kill an opposing side (even if they don’t have to), and interact with a wide variety of characters.

Surprisingly, we won’t have to wait long to play it. The Outer Worlds is out in 2019 for Xbox One, PC, and PS4. Thus far, it looks extremely promising, especially from a combat and characterization perspective. Stay tuned for more information on it in the coming months.
