Obsidian Entertainment’s The Outer Worlds kick-started Microsoft’s Xbox E3 2019 presser, showcasing a universe that’s been overwhelmed by corporations and brands. It also provided a release date as well – October 25th. Not only that, but it’s releasing for Xbox Game Pass at launch.

In the new trailer, you’re framed as a stranger who appears and upsets the order, being a villain, a hero, or a crazed psychopath in the process. It’s all about choices, and some of them will have major consequences, but you can play however you choose. Fans of Fallout: New Vegas will feel at home here.

The Outer Worlds will be releasing for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. The PC version is a timed exclusive for the Epic Games Store, though it remains to be seen if it will come to Xbox Game Pass on PC around launch as well. Stay tuned for more details from E3 2019 – we’re just getting started with the Xbox presser.
