It’s a shame that the Halo 2 reveal from E3 2003 is mired by Bungie employing smoke-and-mirrors tactics to showcase a level and game that was significantly different at release. Nonetheless, the reveal of Halo 2 presented a vision for what the series could become – an all-out, sci-fi war epic wherein you played the ultimate bad-ass in Master Chief. Thankfully, later games in the franchise managed to capture this atmosphere.
