3. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

The fact that some open-world titles still take inspiration from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild to this day is truly remarkable. How could Nintendo improve on it further with Tears of the Kingdom, especially since it used the same map? As it turns out, in pretty much every possible way.
More tools for breaking the game, as players assembled powerful Zonai tools to annihilate enemies and traverse the world. More story and lore, expanding upon this universe’s Ganondorf and what led to his imprisonment. Proper dungeons, complete with incredible bosses. A more vibrant open world full of things to do. Tears of the Kingdom may not have been as inspirational as its predecessor, but it’s on another level in terms of quality.
