When you talk about massive hype and expectations, very few titles can face the pressure that Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty did. And while replacing Solid Snake with Raiden drew its share of backlash, the core game was and still is a work of art. Movement and stealth are more responsive; enemy AI is incredibly robust, intelligently reacting to your tactics; and the story, which outlines the wonders and worries of a digital age that hadn’t fully matured, is still incredible to play through.
