It’s important to acknowledge Grand Theft Auto 4 and how it kickstarted the HD series. However, Grand Theft Auto 5 took everything that made the franchise so great and perfected it. Everything, from the amount of activities and missions to the campaign’s story and characterization to the combat and world design is simply top-notch. Rockstar’s rendition of Los Santos is also a sight to behold with locations almost exactly matching their real-world inspirations. And despite monetization concerns and other issues, Grand Theft Auto Online is an incredibly fun experience with hundreds of hours of content worth playing.
