25. Gran Turismo 3: A Spec

While the number of cars is a big step down from its predecessor (roughly 180), Gran Turismo 3: A Spec is a massive step up in everything else. About 34 tracks, some being reversed variants, and a revamped Arcade Mode with multiple stages awaits with incredibly refined gameplay and visuals. Furthermore, you can jump right into endurance races and rally races if you have the right license, and the myriad of tuning and control options is also nice. So while some may prefer Gran Turismo 2 or even Gran Turismo 4 for their plethora of cars, Gran Turismo 3 offers the most perfect version of the series’ formula.
