It’s one thing for Sony fans to be shown up but in E3 2006, Sony itself showcased how horribly out of touch it was. The conference was already embarrassing with Kaz Hirai’s infamous “Ridge Racer” line and the $599 price point for the PS3. But throw in the legendary giant enemy crab meme for Genji: Days of the Blade (which actually took place in ancient Japan, mind you) and suddenly that Xbox 360 wasn’t looking too bad.
