Sony has seen an amazing weekend of sales. The latest UKIE Game Charts courtesy of Gfk Chart-Track revealed that the PlayStation 4 is now the fastest-selling console in UK history, a record previously held by the PlayStation Portable’s launch, which saw 185,000 units sold. And yes, it did better than the Xbox One as well.

In software sales, Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Ghosts climbed back to the top thanks to strong sales for the PS4 version. FIFA 14 ranked at second, despite selling well on the PS4. Battefield 4 came in at third while Killzone: Shadow Fall debuted at fourth place, making it the highest ranking PS4 exclusive thus far. Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag managed to only fall one place to covet the fifth place position.

The most interesting debut is that of Knack which, despite negative critical reaction, managed to debut at 13th place compared to the Super Mario 3D World on the Wii U, which is at 14th place. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.
