If an action-packed, ominous launch trailer for One More Level’s Valor Mortis wasn’t enough, the studio followed up with something unexpected: Extended gameplay and technical details for the console versions. Check it out below.
On PS5 and Xbox Series X, you can expect two graphics modes: Quality and Performance. The former is dynamic 4K targeting 30 FPS, while the latter offers the same resolution but targets 60 FPS. The gameplay portion showcases light exploration, James unleashing his newly unlocked ability on a group of enemies, and a parrying session against a single foe, all of which look solid across the board.
But perhaps the most surprising is that Xbox Series S will also have a 60 FPS Performance Mode (as confirmed on Twitter). Whether it’s dynamic 4K remains to be seen, along with the PS5 Pro specs. All we know is that the latter promises “even higher resolution and improved visuals.” The latter probably means native 4K and more solid performance, but we’ll need to wait for more details.
Valor Mortis launches October 13th on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC for $39.99 after a series of delays (including to avoid the crowded September release window). Check out our feature for 15 things you should know before picking it up.
