Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy
While it seemingly starts off in typical MCU fashion, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy actually progresses in some interesting ways. It presents an overwhelming antagonistic force that uses the Promise to bring followers to its side with Nikki, a Nova Corps cadet suspected to be Peter’s daughter, eventually serving as the Matriarch. From there, we see the Nova Corps retreating from the incoming threat, the Guardians doing their best to fight back (which includes a clever cameo by Thanos) and eventually, encountering Adam Warlock and learning more about the threat of Magus.
The finale sees the crew with Nikki, who is free and awakens her dormant powers, battling against Magus and saving the galaxy. You then ride off victorious…assuming you paid the Nova Corps’ fine, that is. If not, then the Milano ends up hilariously stranded in space.
