Following the death of her brother Gabe in a mining accident, Alex goes about investigating, using her powers to learn the truth. It’s eventually revealed that Typhon, the company in charge of the town’s mining operations, attempted to cover things up with Jed, Ryan’s father, being responsible along with Diane. Not only that but an accident that occurred several years prior, which caused the deaths of several miners, also killed Alex’s father (which eventually led to her going into foster care). By the end, Jed confesses to his crimes, and Alex can decide to either leave Haven Springs or venture out into the world as a musician, satisfied that her powers made a difference.
