8. DOOM (2016)

DOOM is a venerable assault on your senses with its particles, atmospheric lighting, motion blur and stellar image quality. However, very few shooters so deftly combine nightmarishly fast, gruesome action with such buttery smooth performance (even if the console versions do suffer from frame drops at times). Even if you’re not a graphics connoisseur, it’s hard not to be impressed with how flawlessly DOOM runs.
