Killing Floor 2

Killing Floor 2’s raft of weaponry encompasses modern militaristic assault rifles, vintage guns, brutal makeshift weaponry, and daft motoric mad scientist creations. They all have one thing in common though – the movement arcs of their reload actions are all beautiful. The guns pleasingly swirl across the screen, with even the utilitarian weapons such as the Heckler & Koch UMP displaying a smooth, satisfactory nudge forward before being lifted upwards to swap magazines. On the whole, the speed at which the guns reload lacks realism, of course, but owing to their trajectory, the shape of their momentum, their placement on screen – those clever animators at Tripwire Interactive avoid breaking immersion.
