Basement Crawl

Taking cues from the likes of Bomberman, Basement Crawl tried to do what Bomberman: Zero couldn’t but sadly ended up suffering from the same fate. Bloober Team crafted a mostly solid gameplay loop where players would be setting traps for other players in a wide array of labyrinthian levels, but those mechanics lacked any depth to keep anyone interested for more than a couple of hours. Basement Crawl was also released exclusively for the PlayStation 4 back in 2014 when it had a relatively small install base, and the visuals were clearly not appealing enough to warrant an eighth-gen only release. As such, Basement Crawl just came and went – and nobody really cared about it.
Crimson Dragon

Crimson Dragon had a relatively simple concept; it was an on-rails shooter where players would assume the role of a dragon as they glide through the skies and hurl projectiles at their adversaries. But even that simple concept faltered in the face of poor execution, and the Crimson Dragon that we got was a frustrating game where RPG-Esque grinding and poorly designed boss fights often came in the way of whatever little fun the game’s set of simple mechanics had. Even the graphics were pretty bad for an Xbox One release, which ultimately made Crimson Dragon one of the most disappointing games in that lineup.
