RESIDENT EVIL
Sure, at its core, Resident Evil has always been a horror series (to some extent or the other), but the way it’s gone about to deliver that horror has changed multiple times. From its fixed cameras in the early years to becoming much less horror and more action with subsequent franchises, to going back to its horror roots with the first person Resident Evil 7, to going back to the over-the-shoulder perspective with Resident Evil 2’s remake- Resident Evil has found ways to reinvent itself time and time again, and it’s fair to say that for the most part, it’s been incredibly successful.
