Of course, we can’t speak of famously bad E3 press conferences without speaking of Sony’s E3 2006 press event, a show that has gone down in history as yet another string of embarrassing moments. Kaz Hirai’s faux enthusiasm for Ridge Racer, the shockingly high price reveal for the PS3, the giant enemy crab- there’s so much in that show that we’ve all made fun of millions of times over the years. It was an exceptionally bad conference- and we shall never see its like again (or so we hope).
