ORI AND THE WILL OF THE WISPS

The metroidvania genre has exploded in popularity over the past decade, and one of the best games we’ve played in the genre in recent memory is Moon Studio’s excellent Ori and the Blind Forest. Somehow, impossibly, the upcoming Will of the Wisps is looking like it’s going to be even better. And that’s because it’s doing exactly what an ideal sequel should- building on the greatest strengths of its predecessor. Ori is all about fluid movement, tight level design, excellent music, and stellar visuals, and from everything we’ve seen of it so far, it looks like Ori and the Will of the Wisps is going to deliver that in spades.
