There are several reasons to dislike Mortal Kombat 1 – the microtransactions, the Switch version, the initial launch of Invasions, etc. However, at its core, this is still one of the most fun entries in the series, from its Story Mode, which escalated into unexpected insanity by the end or the new Kameo Fighters, which allow for all kinds of combos. It looks and feels good to play with solid netcode, so here’s hoping it’s polished further down the line.
