13. Final Fantasy 16
Despite its flaws, I have a soft spot for Final Fantasy 16. Clive Rosfield’s quest for vengeance quickly blows up into a world-saving affair and it’s full of epic Eikon struggles, compelling drama, and some knockdown, drag-out fights with incredible abilities. It may not have been everything that fans wanted in a mainline Final Fantasy, but its combination of combat, story-telling, and characters makes it worth playing, especially for action RPG players.
