Activision is out in force at Gamescom 2018 with games like From Software’s Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Bungie’s Destiny 2: Forsaken, and Treyarch’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 available to try out. One neat perk for attendees is the Arsenal map in Black Ops 4 as they get to experience it for the first time. For the rest of us, Activision released some spiffy new gameplay footage, which can be seen below.
Taking place in a manufacturing facility belonging to a “powerful” defense contractor in North America, Arsenal represents a “hostile covert ops” mission. Basically, it’s a Hardpoint map, and players must capture a central location while staying inside to accrue points. The opposing team, meanwhile, must evict them and capture the Hardpoint for themselves. Staying within the point is paramount since no points are awarded otherwise.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is out on October 12th for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. It doesn’t have a single-player campaign but will feature three Zombies maps, Specialist-centred missions, and a battle royale mode called Blackout (which goes into beta this September).
