Overwatch Archives

Blizzard Entertainment has begun the process of teasing its next Archives event for Overwatch. A recent news clipping indicated that bad stuff was going down in Havana, Cuba. However, a new tweet – which consists of a recording to Captain Jack Morrison – has provided a name for the event: Storm Rising.

This time around, it seems the four playable heroes will be Tracer, Winston, Genji, and Mercy. Tracer will be assuming the leadership role this time, but it wouldn’t be strange to hear more communications from other characters like with Uprising. The real question is: What kinds of enemies and mechanics can be expected this time?

Overwatch’s Storm Rising event starts on April 16th and ends on May 6th. Expect new cosmetics, particularly for newer heroes like Ashe and Baptiste, to be introduced. Also, previous Archives events like Uprising and Retribution should be available to play as well. Their corresponding cosmetics will also be available at lowered Credit prices, in case you missed them the first time around.
