Mega Man Zero-ZX Legacy Collection

Capcom’s Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection is out next year, collecting all of the Mega Man Zero and Mega Man ZX games in one stellar package. It also includes several bonus features – like the recently announced Bonus Cards and Link Mode. Capcom detailed these two features in a new blog post.

Bonus Cards tie into ZZ Cards, which were introduced for Mega Man Zero 3 back in the day. Activated via the Nintendo e-Reader, these cards would add different modifiers to the game like new rooms or augmenting Zero’s arsenal. There are now Bonus Cards which track your progress through the games and unlock different ZZ Cards for applying modifiers. Weird? Sure but it’s a fun addition.

The other neat feature is Link Mode where enabling a “Link” to Mega Man Zero 3/4 could provide access to boss battles from those games in Mega Man ZX. So if you were keen to fight Devilbat Schilt or Fenri Lunaedge, like in the old days of interesting either GBA cartridge into the Nintendo DS, this is your chance.

Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection releases on January 21st 2020 for Xbox One, PS4, PC and Nintendo Switch. Head here to learn more about the new Z-Chaser Mode.
