While some of you might think that PSN and Xbox Live titles do not have the quality and potential of full, retail games, you’ll find that you’re actually wrong. What these downloadable games lack in content, they more than make up for in fun and creativity. But it’s a hard choice listing just ten of so many great games out there. Nonetheless, we managed to do that, somehow. So listed below are 10 PSN and Xbox Live titles that we believe were some of the best out there and definitely deserve sequels (but haven’t gotten one till yet).

Enjoy the list, and give us your feedback via your comments below.

AND IF WE DIDN’T LIST THE GAMES YOU EXPECTED TO SEE, it’s because you can only list so many games in a top 10 list, right? Anyway, you can let us know what we missed in your comments.

Shatter (PSN)

Shatter was an extremely fun, very polished game that one could play for hours and hours at end. Though it was a version of a game we’ve played before, it was a very enjoyable, creative and polished version, with tweaks and refinements that changed the game radically and turned it into something much better than we expected. If any PSN game deserves a sequel, it’s this one. God know how much time countless of people have clocked into it.

The Adventures of Shuggy (Xbox Live)

Read Our Review

The Adventures of Shuggy, as opposed to what it looked like, was a very deep game with tons of variety. The game was centered around us- Shuggy- cleaning up 100 rooms in the house we’ve just inherited and getting rid of all the zombies, ghouls, vampires, ghosts, robots and whatnots in order to make it livable again. And each new room presented something different from the last ones, something much more enjoyable. The gameplay mechanics were simple and very accessible, yet very creating and very enjoyable. It was truly as genius of a game, and though it hasn’t been a long time since it was released, we definitely want to see a sequel.

Crash Commando (PSN)

While Crash Commando had a pretty brief and somewhat disappointing single player component, it was the multiplayer mode that was the star of the game, really. The fun I had while playing the multiplayer component is unmatched till this day in any downloadable game. Then there were the beautiful graphics, the frenetic pace, the diverse weapons, the wonderfully designed, huge maps… Crash Commando was simply a blast. And after the positive reception it got, I’m surprised that after three years of its release, there’s been no word on a sequel. Here’s hoping Sony will do something about this, because people would kill for a Crash Commando sequel.
