With Tokyo Game Show right around the corner, rumors were rife about a new Nintendo Direct happening in the week of September 12th. Though Giant Bomb’s Jeff Grubb was unsure if the showcase would happen due to the poor health and eventual passing of Queen Elizabeth II, he recently tweeted that it’s “still on.”

“It does sound like the Direct is still on. If it gets moved around, it will probably be a very minor adjustment. Expect it early next week.” Insider NateTheHate also tweeted that it would be announced on Monday, September 12th. Of course, nothing official is confirmed, so stay tuned.

As for what you should expect, Grubb reported that HD ports for The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and Twilight Princess would finally be announced after being rumored for so long. The official name for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’s sequel will also allegedly be revealed. There may even be new trailers for PlatinumGames’ Bayonetta 3, releasing on October 28th for Nintendo Switch, and Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp, which may release in 2023 after multiple delays.
