Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2’s latest Title Update is now live, adding Siege Mode for all platforms. The PvE mode is essentially Saber Interactive’s take on Horde Mode as players tackle waves of enemies on Kadaku.

There are three sectors that players will rotate between, each with five waves of Tyranids and Thousand Sons. You’ll also capture points and retrieve data-slates as side objectives, and a boss appears on the fifth wave.

Between each wave, a one-minute interval allows for purchasing ammo, a Guardian Relic, equipment, and even summoning AI Space Marines to help out. If everyone combines their resources, they can buy a Dreadnought. Sadly, it’s not controllable.

Finishing 15 waves isn’t the end, of course, as the mode will shift to an endless run with fewer resources and even tougher enemies. Some notable changes from the PC test include Guardsmen costing less and a fixed time for the entire session, which increases after beating a wave (rather than a limited time for each).

Saber believes it can eventually remove the timer with some optimization, so stay tuned for updates. Other features in the update include turning off bot spawns in Private Mode, an experimental ray-traced ambient occlusion option, and DLSS 4 support. Head here for more details on other changes, including for Prestige Perks.
