Larian Studios promised that something was brewing for Baldur’s Gate 3. In a new trailer, studio founder Swen Vincke confirmed that gameplay and mechanics for the RPG would be revealed at PAX East on February 27th. The reveal will take place at 12:30 PM PT/3:30 PM ET with the gameplay also being released online.

Larian Studios also revealed that 350 people are working on the title, developing “new technology and pipelines” to deliver a “truly next-generation RPG.” And maybe we’re reading too much into the term “next-generation” but maybe it’ll come to Xbox Series X and PS5 down the line? It’s too early to say but wouldn’t be outside the realm of possibility.

Baldur’s Gate 3 was announced last year before E3 2019 kicked off, following teasing (and some denials) from Larian Studios about the same. It sees players dealing with some new threats like a Lich epidemic in a fairly dark story. The RPG is currently in development for Google Stadia and PC.
