Baldur’s Gate 3 from Larian Studios is a massive game and quite daunting for those who know nothing of Dungeons and Dragons. Thankfully, for those who want a taste of the gameplay before purchasing, a two-hour trial is available now for PS5.
The catch is that it’s only available for PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers (which is $17.99 monthly). Also, even if it doesn’t have the longest intro, the trial may be over before Act 1 truly kicks into gear. Check out our review of the PS5 version for more details on what to expect.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is also available for PC, having been in early access since October 2020. It’s received numerous patches and hotfixes on both platforms since launching, adding various quality-of-life features, including the Magic Mirror to change your appearance during a playthrough.
The acclaimed RPG is nominated in eight categories at The Game Awards 2023 and launches for Xbox Series X/S in December. A physical Deluxe Edition is also coming to consoles and PC in Q1 2024. Head here for more details.
