Sledgehammer Games’ Call of Duty: Vanguard has had a less than ideal reception since launch due to a range of different issues. While Season 1 was slated to begin on December 3rd along with the release of Call of Duty: Warzone’s Pacific update, both have been delayed to December 9th. Those who own Vanguard will receive 24 hour early access so they can start playing on December 8th.
Though it’s the same day that Halo Infinite’s campaign launches (which should also offer updates for multiplayer fans), Warzone’s update should prove popular. Along with a new map, Caldera, it also introduces Ricochet anti-cheat to the free to play battle royale title. Sadly, Vanguard players will have to wait till later for Ricochet to be implemented into core multiplayer playlists.
Call of Duty: Vanguard and Call of Duty: Warzone are both available for Xbox One, PS4, PS5, PC and Xbox Series X/S. For more details on the former, check out our official review here.
Update: Season 1 of #Vanguard and Warzone Pacific will now release Dec. 8.
