Death Stranding Walmart Canada Release Date Listing Was Just A Placeholder

Don't get your hopes too high, people.

Death Stranding

When Death Stranding’s listing on Walmart Canada – masters of secret keeping – mentioned that the game would be shipping in June of 2019, it predictably sent the internet into a flurry of excitement and questions, about how much validity their was to the date mentioned on the site. However, as many may have guessed, the date doesn’t really mean much.

Why, you say? Well, Walmart Canada recently confirmed on Twitter that the shipping date mentioned on the Death Stranding listing on their site is only a placeholder date, nothing more. Looks like they’re as unaware of when Kojima Productions title will come out as the rest of the world is.

Even though Walmart Canada may not be privy to such information, there are rumours that suggest that a release date for Death Stranding will be announced at the imminent The Game Awards, which take place on December 6. If you think that seems a bit unlikely (and it kind of does), we can at least be assured that, as plenty of evidence suggests, we’re at least going to get yet another trailer for the game at the event.
